Teacher Wu Junsheng, who started work related to outdoor sports in 2000, was one of the earliest outdoor sports practitioners in China and initiated and organized China's first summer camp for island youth survival. As early as 2002, Wu Junsheng led the team to organize more than 80 children to go to Lingshan Island for a 7-day island summer camp, with the youngest 8 years old and the oldest 15 years old. One day, the island was uninhabited and the day was more than 40 degrees warm. The team arrived safely at the departure camp for 10 hours without a child falling behind. This is the earliest youth island camp in China.
