The reporter learned that in the third quarter of this year, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce commissioned the Guangzhou Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute to conduct quality monitoring of wood furniture products in the circulation field of Guangzhou. A total of 66 batches of samples were taken, and 24 batches were unqualified after testing, and the failure rate was 36.36%. It is worth noting that this sampling found that the problem of product description is not serious, as many as 17 batches, accounting for 70% of the total number of unqualified. According to the requirements of national standards, the formaldehyde emission of wood furniture should be 1.5mg/L, and the formaldehyde emission of the above brand samples exceeds the limit.
Guangzhou Industrial and Commercial Bureau said that the business owners who sell unqualified products will be punished according to the relevant provisions of the Product Quality Law. At the same time, urge the city's distribution enterprises to do the delisting of the same unqualified products.
