U.S. Develops High Density mLLDPE Grades

Characteristics: Recently two new metallocene linear low density polyethylene (MDL DPE) Exxon grades have been industrially produced with a density of 0.927 g/cm. The melt flow rate (MFR) 1.3-3.5g/lOmin. The new grade has a higher density than the normal mLLDPE. The new grades are characterized by a very balanced rigidity and toughness. As a result, the thickness of the product can be reduced, and the rigidity can be improved without deteriorating the toughness. According to reports. Heavy-duty film and lining production plants want to use high-rigidity materials because of their better creep resistance and ability to withstand heavy loads. The stretch film factory uses a higher density resin as the non-adhesive layer material, which uses its superior puncture resistance and higher compound retention ratio than general materials.

Uses: Application targets are heavy bags, stretch films, sanitary films, linings, and shopping bags.
