7. When the viscosity of the paste is high, what are the causes? How to apply?

(1) After the secondary caustic soda is added, the viscosity is too high before the viscosity stabilizer is added, so that the viscosity of the paste is high. At this time, a paste with a lower viscosity is required to be blended to reduce the viscosity.

(2) If caustic soda is used in excess, the viscosity of the paste will be higher and higher during use. At this time, some viscosity stabilizers may be added to the paste to prevent the viscosity of the paste from rising. When preparing new pastes at the same time, the amount of caustic soda should be reduced.

8. When the viscosity of the paste is low, what are the causes? How to apply?

(1) After the second caustic soda is added, the viscosity stabilizer is not yet reached and the viscosity stabilizer is added, so that the paste viscosity is low. At this time, it is necessary to prepare a paste with a higher viscosity paste to increase the viscosity.

(2) If the amount of caustic soda is not enough, in the process of use, the viscosity of the paste will gradually decrease due to the shear force of the gear pump. When preparing a new paste, the amount of caustic soda must be increased to avoid the decrease of viscosity.

9. What is the effect on the cardboard when the viscosity of the paste is high?

The high viscosity of the paste will increase the consumption of the paste. Because the core paper absorbs too much water, the paperboard will become soft, and the ribs and chicken skin will also be produced.

The viscosity of the paste is low. When the vehicle speed is slow, the paste is not easy to be carried by the paste wheel, and the paste may be easily chipped. Sometimes, the paste may be stuck too badly.

10. What happens when the paste is abnormal? How to remedy?

If the paste is abnormal, there will be poor adhesion on both sides of the paperboard, and the speed cannot be improved. At this time, we must look for the reasons, especially the raw material of the transaction, and use the right medicine to solve the problem.
