Marabu, a screen printing ink manufacturer headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, recently formed a global ink partnership with Paragon, a curved letter ink printing company based in Edinburgh, England. In order to meet customers' increasing demand for compatible inks in hybrid printing, the two companies are working together to provide customers with more reliable ink products.
Although the curved UV ink market is growing at a very rapid rate, it is still a huge challenge for the entire printing industry to ensure the best compatibility issues with curved UV printing hybrid rotary screen printing during overprinting. The partnership agreement reached by the two major companies allows them to focus on their respective strengths and combine in the field of printing and packaging. With the support of Marabu's powerful worldwide distribution network, the Alliance's products can be distributed to more than 50 countries around the world. The globalization process of the label printing industry is also one of the key factors for the rapid alliance between the two companies.
The partnership between the two companies further optimized the performance of the new white silicone-free roller-type screen printing inks from Malawi, UltraRotaScreen UVRS 172, and Paragon's 7000 surface ink series (Uvdry flexo series 7000). The new white screen printing inks not only provide excellent results in surface overprinting but also print at speeds up to 65 mpm (200 fpm). The person in charge of the company pointed out that "This surface ink can show excellent levels and gloss is very satisfactory, as if printed on a special synthetic bottom layer."
The two companies will continue to integrate their technological advantages in packaging and jointly develop future global strategic partnerships.
