For companies producing export corrugated boxes, this should give rise to a high degree of attention. Outline design points

1. In the design of the box type, the export cartons must take into account the external impact forces such as bumps, scratches, abrasions, drops, and handling during transportation. Therefore, as a large commodity package, corrugated cartons should be designed to be as simple as possible, easy to handle and avoid die-cutting, because the use of excessive die-cutting process will reduce the overall performance of the carton, and it appears that the production process is too complicated. At the same time, it is also necessary to consider the convenience of packing, and some need to consider mechanical packing.

2. When designing the size of corrugated boxes, we must consider combining them with different types of containers to make full use of the space of the containers to avoid excess space during the transportation of the products, which is wasteful and unfavorable to the safety of the products during transportation. In addition, the length, width and height of the corrugated box are also suitable for the contents.

3. According to the local transportation and handling conditions, a user-friendly design such as a handle hole can be added to the larger packaging box. This facilitates handling.

Material selection note

Corrugated carton strength design is the most important part of the material design. It not only affects the printing effect, but also affects the physical properties of the corrugated carton after molding.

1. There is a close relationship between the moisture content of the paper and the strength of the corrugated box. When assigning paper to corrugated boxes, consideration must be given to the weather conditions in various countries. For example, raw materials can be used as raw materials in places where the weather is often dry, and in wet weather, corrugated cartons that need to be refrigerated or refrigerated can be made of waterproof paper. To ensure that the physical properties of corrugated boxes are not affected by changes in air humidity. We can choose the paper according to the three different bad factors on the SN/T0262-93 standard. Corrugated boxes with shorter storage periods can use papers with lower basis weight and performance, and vice versa. As a manufacturer, it is possible to randomly produce products that are suitable for the market.

2. The country has established standards for corrugated boxes (GB6543) used only in China and corrugated boxes for exports (GB/T5033). The various indexes of export corrugated cartons have been improved. Therefore, we must have higher physical properties, such as the ring pressure index, when using raw paper. At the same time, the pulled-out paperboard must meet GB5034's requirements on physical properties such as burst resistance, edge pressure, and adhesion.

3. The use of inks, adhesives, and varnish (laminating) should take into consideration the regulations of the country of destination. In this regard, environmental protection requirements must be considered. For example, printing inks can be selected from the internationally popular vegetable oil type inks, which have little harm to the human body. Nowadays, a large part of packaging and printing in many countries in Europe and the United States uses flexographic printing as the main printing method. Flexographic printing uses solvent-free UV inks and water-based inks, which can minimize harm and eliminate environmental pollution. In short, choose non-polluting materials as much as possible to avoid returns due to packaging problems, especially the packaging of products exported to the EU is particularly noteworthy.

Decoration design points

1. There must be a sign on the box. GB 191 stipulates that the code and code number specified by the commodity inspection authorities should be printed on the carton, especially the lot number on the box. This is the focus of the meticulous inspection by the commodity inspection authorities and is also a point that many companies can easily overlook. It is necessary to clearly identify the batch number of the cabinet. The box surface pattern, the text are clear and correct, the depth is consistent, and the position is correct. Some mandatory products now also require the "ccc" logo. When designing, pay attention to the update of current standards and use the latest standards.

2. The reference standard (International Standard, Commodity Inspection Standard, and National Standard) on the cabinet must be the latest standard. In order to be responsible to the customer, the manufacturer must also constantly update and enrich the relevant knowledge. The pattern on the box should be determined according to the different cultures of each country. We cannot follow our traditional domestic practice. The pattern is simple and clear, and the single color is the first choice. People in each country have different preferences and there are many taboos. It is particularly worth noting when designing and decorating.

Process design points

Corrugated carton forming process has many intermediate links, which is also worth noting in our design.

1. The corrugated design is mainly a 楞 type design. First, design the enamel type according to the characteristics of the contents, the transportation environment, and the selected materials and the required strength. At present, there are several kinds of single corrugated and multi-layer corrugated, and each layer has A, B, C, etc., which can be selected according to needs (national standards are not described in detail here).

2. Print design. There are many printing methods. The printing methods commonly used in corrugated cartons in China include offset printing, flexographic printing, and gravure printing. Changes in the printing method directly affect other processes, and even printed materials have to be changed. For example, coated white paper is selected, and it is difficult to print with aqueous ink flexographic printing. According to the characteristics of offset printing, flexographic printing and gravure printing, and other aspects of the design, the process scheme can be comprehensively considered.
