This new two-component epoxy system has the advantages of low viscosity (down to 550 mPa·s) and long gelling time (up to 2 hours), and it can be used as a resin for injecting large composite workpieces. At the same time, as a transparent resin, the cured product has a Shore hardness of 87D, a bending strength of 70 MPa, a bending capacity of 3010 MPa, and a superior performance.
According to reports, the product consists of the Reninfusion 8615 and Ren 8615 systems developed by the Adhesives & Tooling division of the Renshape Solutions Tooling Group of Vantico, Inc., East Lansing, Michigan, United States.
