At present, the domestic synthesis of esterification mainly uses sulfuric acid as a catalyst. The production process is complex, the yield is low, the cost is high, the selectivity is low, the environment is polluted, and the equipment is corroded. Beijing University of Chemical Technology studied the catalysis of ethylene glycol ether acetate, and developed a new zirconium-based solid acid catalyst with a layered structure.
The product has excellent catalytic activity, high selectivity, long service life, simple recycling, and can be recycled, does not pollute the environment, can be widely used in the production of various esters.
