Identification of all printing and counterfeiting methods in Chinese painting and calligraphy

From this time, I want to talk about the counterfeiting laws related to printing. When it comes to printing falsification, it is not really new. Back in the early and mid-1950s of last century, Beijing Rongbaozhai specially organized a research team that put watermark woodcuts into famous paintings and calligraphy. At that time, the copied product was more realistic in the eyes of many collectors. If the seller actively told the buyer to tell the truth, it was a copy; otherwise, it was the same thing as falsification.

Now, with the increase in the popularity of printing technology, especially after the high-tech tools, equipment and methods are applied to the simulation printing of calligraphy and painting, those "printed" finished calligraphy and painting products can be said to be closer to the real masterpieces than ever before. What's more, there are three different kinds of specific operation tricks for the same kind of calligraphy and painting pseudo-systems, which are all pseudo-types of printing and false, and now the first "all printing" is revealed. Counterfeiting law.

"Print all" is relatively easy to understand. It refers to the counterfeiters aiming at a certain authentic work of a famous house as the mother, and then copying it out by printing. This method of counterfeiting is in fact no different from "printing" at the technical level. The problem with Guan Jian is that the level of counterfeiters is now extremely high, making people "unexpected." Whether the "old" printing counterfeit I have seen in the past is "watermark woodcut" or "Crooke", the biggest imitation gap is often the unnatural change of ink color depth, the pen line is too thin and the flexibility of the ink block, The lack of charm and so on, especially the calligraphy and painting of the finished large scale or thick strokes. The "new" printing counterfeit has greatly improved the "printing common problem": it can reproduce the different levels of general shades of ink in calligraphy and painting to a certain extent, and it can also thicken the thick lines and dots in famous calligraphy and painting. The sense of rhythm is more than four or five points. In addition, there is a relative adaptability problem in implementing the pseudo-manipulation method and selecting the female parent. For those Chinese paintings whose calligraphy and paintings are relatively small in size, the strokes are fine, and the ink color changes are relatively simple and monotonous, I think it is most suitable for this kind of fake.

This finger-painted painting (figure 1) was suspected of being faked and sold at a southern auction house in the winter auction of 2004. It was funded by Pan Tianshou. The painting is also equipped with a poetry hall of "Master Pan Tianshou Finger-Ink" by a connoisseur . It is not large in size, the rules are relatively simple, and the title is only three words "Shou Zhi Mo". There are only a few strokes of finger and ink paintings on the landscape, dotted lines and blocks, with a light ocher color . At first glance, the strokes of the paintings are not weak, and there seem to be few loopholes, and they are more than 50% realistic. But if it is faced with people who are more familiar with Pan Tianshou's art, it will be difficult to "mix" it. Its original work has been cataloged in various versions of Pan Tianshou's works (see Figure 2). Pan Lao's works are few in existence, so many collectors are relatively impressed with their limited works and provenance, so it is easier to discover the true face of this kind of printed counterfeit. "negligence".

To identify the fake of "all printing", the appraiser should pay attention to the following points: First, there is still a gap in the texture of the pen and ink between printing and manual operations, so the appraiser's characteristics and quality of the pen and ink of the appraised object Careful observation should be carried out, and the reaction is sensitive, and the “breakthrough” of identification is found; the second is that “print all” and “absolute clone” are a cross concept, that is, if it is a fake, it must have a one-to-one female parent, so please refer to the resource Sometimes it will make the identification work faster, especially those famous artists whose works don't have a lot of works. Third, because of the characteristics of the printed products, such products are generally more than one or two pieces. Appeared in different auction houses at a similar time, indicating that they are "multiple births". Any appraiser with rich experience and wide vision will be more likely to discover the truth; ) Extremely close to the characteristics of a mother's original work (general non-professional experts are difficult to see the difference between the two), so some auction houses will do this kind of finished products Textual annotations such as "This work was published in a catalog or book" are essentially fish-eye mixed beads, and this is not something else.
