NOMOS Minimatik Receives iF Design Award Gold Medal

The latest addition to the Neomatik collection by NOMOS Glashütte, the Minimatik, favored the jury that won the iF Design Award this year. It has won the highest honor of more than 5,000 of 53 countries in this global product design industry.

One of the oldest and most prestigious awards in product design is undoubtedly the IF Design Award, which has been presented to countless outstanding works for more than 60 years. This award-winning selection of many contemporary classic, which also contains several NOMOS watches. Like the Metro watch that received this prestigious award in 2015, and before that, Ahoi (2014), Tangomat GMT Plus (2013), and Zürich (2012) have also won this honor. Also three days ago, NOMOS's Tangomat, Metro and Lambda watches were awarded the Goldene Unruh reader's choice awards, the highest honor of German mechanical watches, making them one of the 130 selected works.

The iF Design Award is the second international design award for the NOMOS Minimatik watch since the Good Design Award (also known as the Eames Prize Ames Award). "At NOMOS, in essence, we are just doing our job as a watchmaker or designer, just as Judith Borowski, who oversees the brand and design at NOMOS Glashütte. "But apparently everybody is still happy to get mad because of the iF design award."
