New PMP resin for beneficial food packaging

Many tests have shown that some products such as food trays are manufactured by solid heating molding process, and the best results are obtained. The blow-molded PMP resin film is a good material for packaging. The PMP resin film is in the development stage and can cover the long paper board with a thickness of about 0.025mm PMP film coating. The practical application shows that this kind of product has great promise. The heat resistance of the PMP film makes it possible to replace the more expensive polyester coating in microwave applications.
Easy to recycle, this is also a major advantage of PMP resin. The regenerated PMP resin exhibits properties similar to those of the original resin and it can also be mixed with polypropylene to form a hybrid resin in which the polypropylene content can be increased to 50%. The hybrid resin has similar properties as the regenerated pure resin.
