Duster-Omet mixed press debuts at interpack 2017

In the interpack 2017 exhibition, Dost has exhibited for the first time in Europe the integration and printing system that combines the company's Tau platform with the Omit module.

At the Expoexpo Americas 2016 exhibition, the prototype of the Durst Tau 330/Omet XFlex X6 hybrid printing system was unveiled for the first time. This device integrates Dowst's latest network printing and prepress software, Workflow-Label.

Workflow-Label is designed specifically for label printing production providers. It is a modular, extensible software that can be combined with order entry prepress, RIP, color management, ink cost, and production data management. The key features it provides, such as automatic removal of non-printing areas, can reduce ink consumption. In addition, it is equipped with a browser interface based on efficient access and self-explanation. It can quickly calculate the cost of the workpiece, and the ease of use of high-speed Variable data function.

In cooperation with Omet, Tau 330 can integrate near-line pre-press and post-press processing, providing customers with a label digital printing system, accompanied by a series of traditional printing and finishing technologies. These include flexographic units for primer and/or glossing, web cleaning, corona treatment, rotary/half-rotary die cutting and slitting.
