According to the "ecofriend.com" website, Thailand's Bua Bhat will focus on producing eco-friendly cushions. Advanced environmental concepts and exquisite craftsmanship make the company a leader in the industry.

Founded in 1987, Bua Bhat is a famous Thai home furnishing design company headquartered in Chiang Mai, Thailand's second largest city. Bua Bhat's raw materials come from discarded fabrics from Thai garment factories. The company recycles these wastes into handmade carpets, cushions and pillows.

Thailand has many environmentally friendly companies that manufacture waste by recycling waste materials, but Bua Bhat differs in that it combines craftsmanship with products to highlight the artistry of green household products. In addition, the cushions produced by the company are synthetic fibers, comfortable and durable, and of superior quality. The company has won many top prizes in various household goods competitions.

The founder of Bua Bhat, Willis, always wanted to start a business. Initially, her parents opened the first textile store in Chiang Mai, called "Bua Bhat", which means "sunflower" in Thai. Influenced and encouraged by her parents, Willie graduated from Chiang Mai University and studied textile technology in India, Nepal and Taiwan. After returning to her hometown, she set about setting up a textile factory.

Later, Willie thought of a very creative idea: to integrate local craftsmanship into the product and sell it. This creative idea has made the company a great success. The fly in the ointment is that the company's performance in 1992 was not satisfactory, mainly because cotton prices soared. Willis immediately thought of replacing cotton with factory waste fabrics to produce eco-friendly products. In 1998, Willis pushed its handicraft products to the Bangkok International Home Furnishings Fair.

Soon, her products are favored by major international merchants. From 2009 to 2010, Willis's handicrafts were unveiled in Paris, France. At the same time, Willis actively collects feedback from merchants from all over the world. As she said, “Business feedback helps manufacturers improve product design.”

In an interview, Willie said she learned embroidery through Japanese craft books and used some specific techniques to create more creative designs. She also said that innovation is the core competitiveness of its product value and demand. All of Bua Bhat's products are hand-made by local Thai residents, and many residents have increased their income through their own craftsmanship. In addition, the company provides more employment opportunities for women, supports community building, and actively advocates the protection of traditional Thai lifestyles.
