How to calibrate the electronic balance to reduce the error

During the verification (test), we found that the first measurement of the electronic balance has a large error. The reason is that a considerable part of the instrument has not been calibrated for a long time interval, and it can be directly said that the balance shows zero. the amount. (It should be pointed out that the electronic balance displays zero when it is turned on. It does not mean that the accuracy of the weighing data of the balance meets the test standards. It only shows that the stability of the zero position of the analytical balance is qualified. Because it is necessary to measure whether a balance is qualified or not, it is necessary to consider other Compliance with technical indicators). Due to long storage time, location movement, environmental changes or in order to obtain accurate measurements, the balance should generally be calibrated before use. Calibration methods are divided into internal calibration and external calibration. If you do n’t read the instruction manual carefully before using it, it is easy to ignore the “calibration” operation, which causes a large weighing error.

How to externally calibrate the balance. Method: Lightly press the CAL key. When the display shows CAL-, that is, let go, the display will show CAL-100, where "100" is the blinking code, indicating that the calibration weight needs to use a standard weight of 100g. At this time, put the prepared "100g" calibration weight on the weighing pan, and the display will show "-----" waiting status,

After a long period of time, 100.000g appears on the display, and the calibration weight is removed. The display should show 0.000g. If it is not zero, clear it again and repeat the above calibration operation. (Note: In order to obtain accurate calibration results, it is best to repeat the above calibration steps twice.)

How to calibrate the balance. Methods as below:

Set the balance to zero, and then continue to hold down the "CAL" key until CALint appears, the following will be displayed during calibration:

Zero the balance

The internal calibration weights are loaded

The balance rechecks the zero position

The balance reports the calibration process

The balance reports that the calibration is complete

The balance automatically returns to the weighing state

Some people think that the heavier the object weighed in the range of the electronic balance, the greater the damage to the balance. This understanding is not entirely correct. Generally, the maximum safety load of a weighing instrument is the maximum static load it can withstand without permanently changing its metering performance. Due to the principle of the electromagnetic force automatic compensation circuit, when the weighing pan is loaded (be careful not to exceed the weighing range), the electromagnetic force will push the weighing pan back to the original equilibrium position, so that the electromagnetic force is balanced with the gravity of the weighed object, as long as The influence of the weighing size on the balance within the allowable range is very small, and it will not affect the accuracy of the electronic balance due to long-term weighing.
